With the nickname like "Food", it's no wonder that Glenn Huston grew up to become a chef. He is a Lisbon David Anderson High School graduate and then continued his education at Pittsburgh Culinary Institute. While going to college he did his internship at a five star restaurant in Maui, Hawaii and over the last 20 years he has worked as the head chef at numerous restaurants in many different states.
Glenn and his sister, Kristen, decided to open their own restaurant, Chef's Table, in January 2011. Chef's Table is located in historic downtown Lisbon, Ohio at 130 South Market Street. They offer a wide variety of lunch and dinner specials as well at 2 - 4 homemade soups made daily. Glenn takes much pride in his soups, he makes them 100% from scratch and they are made daily. The majority of the menu items are under $10. The menu consists of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, seafood, pasta, and steaks. The dessert menu serves up homemade and also award winning pies, along with other prepared cheesecakes and desserts.
Along with their award winning pies, they have won "Best Overall" and "Most Savory" from the Taste of Salem Readers' Choice Awards in the Morning Journal for "Best Carry Out" and "Best Menu", as well as runner up for the Taste of the County in Lisbon. In 2012, Chef's Table expanded from having 44 seats to now having 70 seats. They now have a separate dining room that they use for special events and groups. They also do off-sight and on-sight catering.
If you are looking to cater a party and need a simple vegetable tray or a sit down served meal with multiple choices of food, call and ask for Kristen, the restaurant manager, and she will assist you with all your catering needs. Chef's Table is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Chef's Table is closed on Sundays.
